Holi 2025 Celebrations!

Saturday, 15th March, 2025
Darji Samaj Sydney came together once again for its second annual Holi celebration on Sunday, 15th March 2025, at the beautiful Bungarribee Park — transforming the afternoon into a colorful gathering full of joy, laughter, and community spirit.
The festivities ran from 12 noon to 3 PM, with members arriving in vibrant spirits and ready to celebrate the festival of colors. As tradition goes, everyone exchanged warm greetings, applied colors, and shared hugs, instantly setting a cheerful tone for the day. Children added their own spark with water balloons and playful energy that kept the smiles going.
As always, the potluck-style lunch was a highlight — with a variety of delicious homemade dishes lovingly shared among members. The food, laughter, and conversations made it a truly heartwarming gathering.
An unexpected visit from a local council representative brought a reminder for future events. Observing Holi colors on the park tables, he requested contact details in case cleanup was needed. Snehal Darji graciously shared his information on behalf of the group. Despite arriving late and missing much of the main celebration, Shivang Vakil stepped up with cleaning supplies and helped in ensuring the area was thoroughly cleaned. Thanks to the collective efforts of our volunteers, the space was left spotless and no cleaning charges were incurred.

This experience was a great learning moment — moving forward, we plan to use disposable table covers to avoid any stress and focus more on enjoying the day.
All in all, it was a vibrant, fun-filled event that once again highlighted the strong unity and spirit of Darji Samaj Sydney. We look forward to making next year’s Holi even more memorable!
