Blue Mountains Picnic '23: Fun in the Sun!

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, Darji Samaj Sydney hosted a vibrant International Picnic Day celebration at the stunning Wenworth Lake Falls in the Blue Mountains, NSW. Over 60 attendees gathered under the sunny skies to enjoy a day filled with fun, food, and friendship.
The group arrived at the Blue Mountains around 10 AM, with several new families joining for the first time. The day began with friendly chats before everyone set off for a scenic walk around the area, forming smaller groups of men and women to explore.
Volunteers served a delicious lunch, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Following the meal, some couples showcased their dance moves, creating memorable reels of the moment. The women engaged in a lively session of antakshari, bringing even more joy and laughter to the event.
After the games and activities, the group gathered together for a relaxed 30-minute chat, sharing stories and savoring leftover food. The event was a delightful success, providing everyone with a perfect opportunity to unwind, connect, and celebrate community spirit amidst the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains.
